阮工，您好！737飞机提到起动机延长工作，什么情况会属于延长工作？
通常会认为干冷转和湿冷转属如起动机延长工作，之前的手册也的确是这么写的。
包括厂家的回复也是这么认为的：
1. The SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-003-F00 in AMM 71-00-00-800-806-F00 shows:
Usual starter cycles during engine starts:
(a) There is no limit to the number of engine starts that are permitted.
(b) The maximum time for each engine start must be less than 2 minutes.
(c) Wait a minimum of 10 seconds between each engine start.
So some maintenance think that if we dry motor the engine for 1 minutes and 59 seconds. The starter only need a 10 seconds cooling before another dry motor.
However,the other maintenance didn't agree with this thought.
As the SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-004-F00 in AMM 71-00-00-800-806-F00 shows:
The extended starter operation is used during the wet and dry motor procedures.
They think dry motor is an extended starter operation. We should obey the extended starter operation limits.
Which thought is correct ?
We hope Boeing provide the definition of usual starter cycle and extended starter operation.
Is dry motor time less than 2 minutes means usual starter cycle?
Is dry motor time more than 2 minutes but less than 5 minutes means extended starter operation.
2.If we will do extended starter operations.
How long we should wait between the second and the third starter operation?
The minimum time is 2 minutes or 10 minutes?
SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-003-F00 is for normal engine runs. SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-004-F00 is for the wet motor procedure and the dry motor procedure.
SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-004-F00 should followed when doing the dry motor procedures, since dry motoring is considered an extended starter operation.
As stated in the SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-004-F00, for the first two dry motoring procedures, the maximum operation time is 15 minutes. Please wait a minimum of 2 minutes in between each starter operation.
If either of the first two extended starter operations is more than 15 minutes or if any of the subsequent starter operations is more than 5 minutes, the starter is not serviceable.
Please follow the recommendations in SUBTASK 71-00-00-910-004-F00, for starter engagement speeds for dry motoring.
但是，随着AMM手册的改版，这样的说法是不正确的。
关于起动机延长工作，手册中可以参考737NG AMM手册的发动机操作限制部分。

可以看出，新版（R77，Feb 15/2022）的AMM手册，对这个NOTE进行了修改：

最新R77版，持续超过2分钟的干冷转和湿冷转才是起动机延长操作：
从新版的AMM手册也可以看出，区分正常的起动机操作和延长起动机操作要看起动机的连续工作时间：如果连续工作时间大于2分钟，属于延长起动机操作；如果连续工作时间不超过2分钟，属于正常的起动机操作。
① 发动机起动时起动机常规操作：
起动活门打开后，引气压力大约在25~55PSI
发动机起动时起动机常规操作：
（a） 对允许的发动机起动，次数没有限制。
（b） 每次发动机起动的最长时间必须小于2分钟。
（c） 每次发动机起动之间至少等待10秒钟。
② 延长起动机操作限制：
提示：例如，延长的起动机操作被用于持续两分钟以上的湿冷转和干冷转程序中。
（a） 对于前两次延长的起动机操作，最大操作时间不得超过15分钟。
1） 每次起动机操作之间至少等待2分钟。
（b） 两次延长起动机操作后，后续每次起动机操作的最长时间不得超过5分钟。
1） 后续每次发动机起动之间至少等待10分钟。
（c） 如果前两次延长起动机操作中的任何一次超过15分钟，或者如果任何后续起动机操作超过5分钟，则起动机不可用（需要更换）。
③ 起动机接通速度限制：
注意：当发动机处于或超过慢车转速时，不要再次接通起动机。可能会损坏起动机。
（a） 对于常规操作，不要在发动机处于或超过慢车转速时尝试接通起动机。
1） 如果起动机在慢车或超过慢车转速下接通超过30秒，建议在随后方便的时候拆下起动机进行检查。
（b） 为灭火或EGT超限时，允许重新接通起动机的N2转速最高到30% 。
其实平时碰到的比较特别的就是机组的QRH-NCC 7.1「中止发动机起动」：
执行这个检查单时，如果是在发动机起动（ENGINE START）电门在地面（GRD）位终止起动，就需要注意起动机连续工作的时间：
如果终止起动前起动机已经工作了超过1分钟，接着再工作1分钟，连续时间就会大于2分钟，就属于是延长的起动机操作，下次起动就必须至少等待2分钟。
