The EEC controls the ignition system with inputs from the flight deck engine panel and fuel control switch.
- When the fuel control switch is set to RUN, 115v ac goes to the EEC for 28v dc ignition power.
- The EEC connects the 28v dc to the ignition exciters using internal relays and controls the exciter operation by switching power on or off.
- The ignition exciter changes the 28v dc source and sends high energy pulses through the ignition leads to the igniters
