这个问题,我之前也问过厂家:
Q1: What are these red material?A1: CFM has recently received a few reports of similar findings. Some deeper investigation has been performed on the Oil System to locate where this material could be coming from. Those particles have been determined to come from the Main Oil Fuel Heat Exchanger of the manufacturer SECAN.Manufacturing process is under review with our supplier, to put in place corrective action to avoid those findings.From the reported cases, RTV quantity that is liberated is very low and have not lead to any oil trend shift during engine operation.Based on the event, CFM confirms that it is necessary to remove the material and perform an internal cleaning of the Oil Tank and cleaning of the Sight Glass in order to remove the debris. In this context, please follow the CFM cleaning recommendations here below:1. Drain and flush the Oil Tank, remove and clean Oil Tank Sight Glass. If possible / necessary Oil Tank can be removed to ease flushing and cleaning process to remove the possible remaining debris.2. Remove and inspect the Lube Unit Main Filters for presence of reddish particles (to check if some particles escaped the oil tank). 3. Replace the Oil Filter elements.4. Service the Oil Tank and operate the engine.5. As a precaution, monitor oil parameters such as oil consumption and oil pressure for 100 cycles after return in service. If no findings, return to normal operation.6. Be sure this context has no impact on the operations of the engines. CFM experience shows that the RTV quantity escaping the Main Oil Fuel Heat Exchanger is low and the oil flow distribution perturbation is unlikely. Release of reddish particles is not harmful to the engine.CFM is confident on the fact that there has been no operational event that was reported by customers / airlines.Please contact CFM directly for any clarifications required pertaining to the above instructions.
从厂家的回复可以看出:厂家也接到了很多航空公司的类似报告,经过分析调查确定是从主燃滑油热交换器来的RTV胶,当前的情况不会影响发动机的正常工作。
另外,关于发动机滑油观察窗,很多人存在有误解。之前厂家也对此做过解释▼ 参考2002年11月的 CFM56-7B Fleet Highlites:
Several customers have recently reported that some pieces of white material were visible in the Oil Tank Sight Glass on CFM56-7B engines. The reports also mentioned some pieces of this material entrapped in the top of the sight glass, and that several areas of the “white sealant“ were missing. The sight glass was incorrectly believed to be sealed to the faceplate with a white sealing compound, similar to a white RTV. 一些用户报告称,在CFM56-7B发动机的油箱观察镜中可以看到一些白色材料。报告还提到了一些嵌在观察镜顶部的材料碎片,以及几个区域的“白色密封剂”丢失。观察镜被错误地认为是用白色密封胶密封在面板上,类似于白色RTV。
The oil tank sight glass is actually sealed with an o-ring seal made of black fluorocarbon material (Viton E).There is no "white material" similar to RTV in the CFM56-7B oil tank. The white part that is visible through the sight glass (illustrated in the above photo) is an area of the oil tank that is gray anodized. This can be misinterpreted as a white compound and generates a misleading white reflection. 油箱观察窗实际上是用黑色碳氟化合物材料(氟橡胶)制成的O形密封圈密封的。在CFM56-7B油箱中没有类似RTV的“白色材料”。通过观察镜可见的白色部分(如上图所示)是油箱的灰色阳极氧化区域。这可能产生误导性的白色反射,并被误解为白色化合物。
In the event of a similar report, customers should be aware of this potential misinterpretation, which does not represent any anomaly of the hardware. 如果有类似的报告,用户应该认识到这种潜在的误解,这并不代表硬件的任何异常。
On the photo below, the sight glass has been removed, showing the gray anodized rim of the slot opening. 在下面的照片上,观察镜已经被移除,显示槽口的灰色阳极化边缘。
