The autopilot roll saturation alertingcomprises of two separate alerts that indicate partial (75%) autopilot rollauthority saturation and full (100%) autopilot roll authority saturation.Both alerts can only be triggered while the autopilot is engaged in singlechannel. These new alerts are generated from the FCC and displayed on thePrimary Flight Display (PFD) in the autopilot status field as ROLL/YAWASYMMETRY and ROLL AUTHORITY. These alerts are also displayed in the HUD (asinstalled). The roll authority alert is accompanied by a voice aural generatedby the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS). The ROLL/YAW ASYMMETRYalert has no aural. The enhanced bank angle warning functions regardless ofwhether the autopilot is engaged. If the pitch angle is less than 25 degrees,the roll angle reaches or exceeds the roll upset threshold at 45 degrees ofbank the warning activates. If the pitch angle is more than 25 degrees, theroll angle reaches or exceeds the roll upset threshold at 65 degrees of bankthe warning activates. The warning features a visual presentation of a red rollcommand arrow on the PFD and HUD (as installed) either to the left or right directionbased upon the correct direction of the recovery.
