1)     OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:



Develops customer training programs and provides technical & mechanical support to customers in the China Region as required.  Act as liaison between customers in the China Region and headquarter.



2)     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Develops & conducts seat training programs for customers in the China Region.

Provides technical support to customers in the China Region.

Determine requirements for inventory to support Field Service projects in the China Region.

Records and then facilitates the corrections of all In-service seat problems in the China Region.

Coordinates all field upgrades for Passenger Seating in the China Region.

Act as liaison between customer and headquarter.

Provides company Management with weekly activity reports.  

Perform other related duties as required.





3)     QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:



A)    Knowledge and skills:



i)        Must have proven ability to work well with customers and with all management levels in the operation.

ii)      Must have the ability to work well with customer personnel under stress situations, and the ability to communicate customer needs to all functional organizations in an efficient manner.

iii)    Must be competent in dealing with blueprints, planning filed work modification, MRP systems, and CRT terminal usage.

iv)    Must be knowledgeable of all aircraft passenger seating types.

v)      Must be proficient in job-related computer activities.

vi)    Must be able to interface with all departments within the company, including purchasing, finance, engineering, Tech Data and manufacturing.

vii)  Must be able to demonstrate the ability to mechanically perform seat repairs.

viii)Proficient in the speaking and writing of both the Chinese and English languages.



B)    Education and/or Experience:



Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or in a related area is recommended.  Educational requirements can be waived if the applicant has enough related experience.  At least five years experience in a combination of; Aviation, product support, manufacturing, or engineering functions.



C) Communication Skills:



Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Have the ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English and Chinese.            



D)  Reasoning Ability:



Have the ability to think strategically and solve problems.



4)    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors, and other office equipment.  Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, typing, ten key, fax, copy machine etc.  Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job. Ability perform mechanical repair functions for extended periods of time  









Listed above are the ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this job classification.  Employees in this job classification may be required to perform various other duties including but not limited to training, administration, and housekeeping.  In addition, employees in this job classification are responsible for the quality, quantity and timeliness of the product or service they provide. They will carry out those duties, in a safe and cooperative manner, per established policies, practices and procedures. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job.
