A/P TYPE: B737CL
1. GENERAL (Fig. 6)
A. A pneumatic ground service connection is provided to allow pressurization of the pneumatic manifold by ground service carts. The connection is accessible through a hinged panel on the underside of the fuselage. The pressurized air supplied through this connection can be used for engine starts, the air conditioning system and other user systems. The connection also includes a check valve to prevent excessive pneumatic system leakage or reverse flow into the ground air source.
B. Before air is supplied, the battery switch must be selected ON and the air conditioning pack valves selected OFF. AC power must be available for air conditioning use. The maximum pressure and temperature of the air supply provided to the ground service connection must not exceed 60 psi and 450°C, respectively.
C. The check valve installed inside the connector housing prevents loss of pressurized air through the connector during operation of the airplane pneumatic system. Caution must be used in the removal and replacement of connector so that the two gaskets are not damaged or misaligned during operation.

2. Procedures:
Step-1 Open the hinged panel.
Step-2 Connecting the air duct to the connector. (WARNING-1)
Step-3 Operate pneumatic cart to supply air to the pneumatic system.
Step-4 Supply pressure air to the duct.

3 Directions:
WARNING-1: Make sure the connection in good condition; high pressure air may cause personal injured and equipment damaged.

A/P TYPE: B737NG
1. Procedure - Supply Ground Pressure to the Pneumatic System
Step-1 Supply electrical power.
Step-2 Open access panel:192DR (ECS High Pressure Access Door) to gain access to the ground pneumatic service connector,:
Step-3 Connect the ground pneumatic service line to the ground pneumatic service connector (WARNING-2).
Step-4 Start the external ground air source. (WARNING-3)
Step-5 Put the ISOLATION VALVE switch on the P5-10, forward overhead panel to the OPEN position.
Step-6 Monitor the dual duct pressure indicator on the P5-10. Make sure that there is movement shown by both duct pressure needles and the pressures shown are normal. (WARNING-4)

2. Procedure - Remove Pressure from the Pneumatic System (Figure 201)
Step-1 Shut down the external ground air source.
Step-2 Make sure that the BLEED switches on the P5-10, forward overhead panel are in the OFF position.
Step-3 Make sure that both duct pressure needles on the dual duct pressure indicator show 0 psi.
Step-4.Disconnect the pneumatic service line from the ground pneumatic connector. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition.

3. Directions:
WARNING-2: DO NOT SUPPLY MORE THAN 60 PSI OF PRESSURE TO THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM. IF YOU SUPPLY TOO MUCH PRESSURE, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURIES TO PERSONNEL CAN OCCUR.
WARNING-3: Do not supply more than 60.0 psi (413.7 kPa) of pressure.
WARNING-4: Make sure that the duct pressure needles do not show more than 60.0 psi (413.7 kPa).
WARNING-5: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE GROUND AIR SOURCE FROM THE AIRPLANE IF ENGINE 2 OPERATES AT MORE THAN MINIMUM IDLE. IF ENGINE 2 OPERATES AT MORE THAN MINIMUM IDLE, INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
