E. OilConsumption
NOTE : The
two values of engine autonomy, expressed in hours below, are calculated on the
basis of the minimum usable oil volume of 2.50 USgal (9.46 l) (Ref. paragraph
Oil Tank Characteristics)
(1) Normal
oil consumption rateDuring anormal engine operation, the normal oil consumption rate is not expected to
exceed 0.15 USgal.h (0.57 l.h) (approximately 0.6 quart.hr) (see note). Thisprovides a minimum engine autonomy of almost 17 hours.
NOTE : Thenecessary process of troubleshooting an higher than normalconsumptionrate starts as soon as the oil consumption rateexceeds 0.22
USgal.h (0.83 l.h) (approximately 0.9 quarts.hr). From thistime on, the oil consumption must be closelymonitoreduntil corrective actions have returned it to normalor at least,have stabilized it under this value.
(2) Maximum
oil consumption rateThe maximum
oil consumption rate during engine operation is limitedto 0.40USgal.h (1.51 l.h) (approximately 1.6 quarts.hr) (see note):This provides
a minimum engine autonomy of 6 hours.
NOTE : Above
this limit, the engine is not serviceable and must beremoved.

实际的滑油耗量=使用滑油量/发动机使用时间
查手册，只是一个参考的标准值
发动机在实际的使用中，滑油耗量跟很多因素有关
