Description
Operators have reported having trouble aligning the ADIRS on 737NG aircraft during high wind conditions.
To minimize this condition turn the aircraft nose into the wind during alignment or have the aircraft aligned in the hangar before being towed to the flight line.

If if is not possible to shelter the aircraft, the following procedures may be used. (continued in the Final Action and Operator Action Sections):

Final Action
It is standard procedure that full alignment (from OFF) be performed before every flight. However, during short turnarounds down mode alignments are acceptable to trim the system (30 second realignment) provided that the total navigation mode time since the last full alignment plus the next flight's duration does not exceed 18 hours.
标准流程是每次飞机前进行全过程校准.如果从上次校准至本次使用结束不超过18小时,在过站时可进行快速校准.
Boeing does not recommend leaving the ADIRU in NAV mode without realignment during turnarounds or for total periods that might exceed the 18 hour limit. A full realignment is recommended at crew changes and down mode alignments performed at turnarounds with the same crew.
波音建议惯导放导航位不要超过18小时,过站换组时要进行全过程校准,不换组时也要进行快速校准.
Down mode alignment is simple and quick to perform. Switch each mode select switch to ALIGN until the Align light comes on, then switch back to NAV followed by entering present position.
快速校准时,应将开关放校准位,校准灯亮时放回导航位并输入当前位置.
Note: You can leave the switch in ALIGN, enter present position then switch back to NAV but either way present position must be entered before the unit will re-enter the Nav mode.
注:开关在校准位时,也可以输入当前位置后再放导航位.
Operator Action
The IR function will perform a position comparison test on the new initial position entered but it will not perform the latitude comparison test at end of alignment (as it does in the full alignment case) since it does not estimate latitude during the 30 second down mode alignment. Since the IR alignment will not be affected by high wind buffeting when down mode alignments are performed, Boeing suggests down mode alignments during lengthy turnarounds (in lieu of full alignments) when high wind gusts are present and the total Nav time since last full alignment does not exceed the aforementioned limitations.
建议最好过站用快速校准.
If the navigation time constraint necessitates a full alignment but high wind gusts cause alignment problem, the operator can do one of the following:
a) Verify the correct present position had been entered. Leave the mode select switch in the NAV position for a total of 17 minutes or more from when the alignment was initially started from OFF. The align status or count down indicated on the ISDU may count down to zero well before the 17 minutes. Allow the align light to flash for the remainder of the 17 minutes, then enter present position again. Chances are the Align light will stop flashing and the unit will now transition into Nav mode because the earth vertical rate filter will have reached its maximum settling time and will switch to its best estimate based on measurements over the entire alignment period thus minimizing the disturbance errors.
输入正确的位置,放导航位校准17分钟以上,如果至0时校准仍在闪,放够17分钟再次输入正确的位置,此时地球垂直率滤波器工作于最佳.

b) Position the airplane with the nose pointed into the prevailing wind to minimize the yawing motion, then restart the alignment process from OFF. Be sure that the airplanes brakes are always set firmly during any IRS/ADIRS alignment to prevent any displacement movement of the airplane which can trip the main IR motion detector ("IRS MOTION" message display) and cause a complete automatic alignment restart.
