TheWiring Diagram Manual
The WDMconsists of the following: ASM -Aircraft Schematic Manual AWM -Aircraft Wiring Manual AWL -Aircraft Wiring List
The ASMcontains the following: 1.Introduction 2.Standard Practices 3.Alphabetical Index 4.Numerical Index 5.Schematic Diagrams: -Simplified Schematics : Have schematic symbols but do not show sufficient detail to permit fault isolation. -Schematics: Show all line replaceable items, allA/C wiring, within a sub-sub system andgive sufficient depth for A/C faultisolation. Note: Applicable to the particularcustomer or group of customers.
The AWMcontains the following: 1. Introduction 2. Standard Practices 3. Alphabetical Index 4. Numerical Index 5. Wiring Diagrams: Show all components andwires. Note: Applicable to the particular customer orgroup of customers
The AWL contains the following: 1.Introduction 2.Standard Practices 3.Equipment List 4.Hook-up List 5.Master Wire List 6. EngineData Note:Applicable to the particular customer or group of customers.
The ESPM gives descriptive data and proceduresfor the electrical installations on all aircraft of the AIRBUS family.
Thestandard practices information in this manual tells you how to do maintenanceand repairs on the standard electrical items. The ESPM is broken down into the following:
20-00-00 Introductionand how to use. You will also find an example here, which walks you through the process 20-10-00 Relatesto safety issues. Here also you have ability to print yourself a safety tag. 20-25-00 Relates to tools used.
20-30-00 Relates to the rules of specific areas onaircraft and requirements e.g. fueltanks gear, pressurized, non- pressurized areas. Identification and markings of wiring andcomponents. Routing of wiring for safety, redundancy andreduction of EMF induction are describedhere. Theseareas are further divided into 6 designations; “G” for power generation of AC and DC. “P” for power distribution of greater than 15amp circuits. “M” for miscellaneous non-sensitive circuitsless than 15 amps. “S” for sensitive circuits such as FLT CTRL. “R” for radio audio and antennas. “T” for coax |
