空客的CML手册是查空客自己的化工品的,空客自己化工品代码典型的规则如下:
1、手册中通常以6位数字混合大写字母组成;
3. Data arrangement
There are fourteen sections; each section includes one category of materials:
- S01 Fuel
- S02 Hydraulic fluids
- S03 Lubricants
- S04 Paints and Coatings
- S05 Adhesives
- S06 Sealants
- S07 Anti-icing and De-icing Materials
- S08 Cleaners
- S09 Strippers
- S10 Surface Pre-treatments
- S11 Disinfectants
- S12 Storage Preservation
- S13 Composite Repairs
- S14 Miscellaneous
NOTE:
These sections are close to the classification used in regulations on chemical substances.
For efficient management of alternative materials, in each section, the materials are organized by "Application".
All the materials specified for a given application are satisfactory for the application (alternative materials).
Applications and materials are each identified by a six digit code.
The search tool and a table of correspondence give the link between the old CML item numbers and the application and/or material code(s).
The conversion from old CML item numbers to the new CML codes does not constitute a deviation from regulatory mandated actions, as the materials remain unchanged.
The change from CML old numbering to new numbering does not substitute or change materials.
A. Application characteristics
The application name gives the main material properties (physical and/or chemical family) and, in general, the typical usage on Airbus aircraft.
An application can be characterised by a specification such as a Military (MIL...), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE...), etc.
The applications are identified by a code with format AABCDE, where:
- AA = Section number 01 trough 14.
- B = Alphabetic value that identifies the main properties of related materials.
- CD = Alpha values that identify the typical usage and/or family.
- E = Numeric value that identifies a specific location on the aircraft.
Each Application is given a category related to the importance of its usage on the aircraft.
There are three categories:
- Category A: Only the materials specified for the application are permitted.
These materials are approved by Airbus.
These applications are "Not Open to external market".
- Category B: Other materials compliant with the specification(s) (MIL, SAE, etc...) related to the application are permitted. The specifications referenced in top of column 'product' have to be considered.
Materials compliant with the specification do not need to be approved by Airbus. For section 01 grade has been added to the specification.
These applications are "Open to external market with a specification".
- Category C: Other commonly available materials that can be locally purchased are permitted.
These local materials may be used without reference to Airbus.
These applications are "Open to external market without a specification".
Each application has an "effectivity" which specifies for which Airbus programs the application is applicable. Airbus Engineering gives the "effectivity" during the qualification phase.
If different materials are applicable for the same application, groups of materials with specific aircraft "effectivity" are given for the application.
NOTE:
The application codes will progressively replace the old CML item numbers (e.g. 09-001) in the maintenance tasks of all Airbus manuals.
B. Material characteristics and associated documents
The material name given in the CML is as close as possible to the trade name given by the material manufacturer.
Each material is identified by a six-digit item code with format ZZZZZZ where all the digits are numeric. This code is not related to the section number.
This code is used for the management of obsolescent materials and for traceability independently of the applications or sections that include the materials. Thus it is easy to identify materials that are "No longer made".
If a material is made of several parts such as a base, accelerator or thinner, each part has its identifier. The part identifier is not shown in the CML if it is not possible to order the part separately.
The link between the generic material name and its parts is shown by the symbol "&" (and).
If a material has variants (for example sealants with variants for different application life and cure time), each variant has its identifier. The link between the variant(s) and the generic material name is shown by "or".
Thus all the variants available from the material manufacturer are given below the generic material name.
If a material is made from a combination of materials or has different configurations, it is possible to work down from the generic material to each of the components and get the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) from the original manufacturer.
NOTE:
All the types of materials (material parts, materials, combinations...) are referred to as "Products".
For Category B applications, the first entry in the Product column is a specification. Click on the specification reference to get a list of the related Materials. The list is not exhaustive. In the second column of the list, "EX" means example.
Products can have the following status (the status is shown only after drill down to a second level view):
- "No longer made":
The material is no longer produced by the manufacturer.
- "No longer used by Airbus":
The material is technically satisfactory for this usage but is no longer followed and used by Airbus in the manufacturing plants.
- "Inactive Spec":
The specification is superseded by a new one
To help operators with the selection of materials shown for an application, the CML gives direct access to the related Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS), when available.
These documents are taken from the material manufacturers' web sites and are shown in English in the European format, when available. They are for information only and are not Airbus contractual documents. Nevertheless, Airbus intends to update these documents every three years, when applicable.
In relation to In service information ISI 00.00.00266, CML part 1 has been updated in order to provide Customers with the information relative to consumable products containing substances currently regulated under REACH Annex XIV. REACH Annex XIV lists substances, the use of which is not permitted under REACH after the relevant REACH "sunset date" unless authorization for specific use(s) has been granted by the European Commission. All information on the composition of products referred to in this CML is based on information as may be made available to Airbus by the manufacturer of the product. Consumable comment area is then filled with "Regulated by REACH Annex XIV-DDMMYYYY." DDMMYYYY corresponds to the REACH Sunset (Ban) Date. Date format is as follow: DDMMYYYY, e.g. 22012019, means 22nd of January 2019.
One or more specifications and/or codes can be related to a material. When a specification/code number is available, "Yes" is displayed in front of the material on the top level view.
When there are different materials for the same application, they are given in the order that follows:
- Materials currently used on the Airbus production line or recently qualified.
- Materials no longer used on the Airbus production line or qualified a long time ago.
- Materials "no longer made" (Airbus data). These materials are shown at the end of the list. Date format is as follow: YYYYMMDD, e.g. 20000201 means 1st of February 2000.
Material manufacturers are first identified by the name of the company headquarters.
The manufacturer address, fax, phone, website address (active hyperlink from online CML) and CAGE code are given in a second field.
