1、this failure is not safety related. It is fully covered by the MMEL 01-23 P4.
2、When the sidestick Unit (SSU) has been introduced in remplacement of Sidestick assembly (SSA), this equipment has been completely redesigned with PTT also redesigned (mechanical and electrical robustness of the switch improved); leading to increased reliability.SSU PTT switch robustness tests have demonstrated a good behaviour until 1 000 000 activations.
3、Airlines issue is mainly the impact on line maintenance and on the flight crew which could be resolved with a regular replacement of the PTT switch.The replacement interval is to be adapted to the airline fleet operation and background
