Applicability
This condition is applicable to airplanes equipped with the Update 10.3 (U10.3) FMC software.

Description
The U10.3 FMC software can erroneously retain the UNABLE REQD NAV PERF-RNP message on the EHSI after flight completion. This is not an indication of an equipment failure, but rather is a known software anomaly that was corrected in U10.4. When the condition occurs, the message can be cleared by performing a long-term power interrupt to the FMC, while on ground prior to preflight.

Background
Boeing has received reports that the FMC may display the message "UNABLE REQD NAV PERF-RNP" while on the ground during a "Quick" IRS alignment. This condition is normal and not related to the U10.3 FMC software condition that retains this message after flight completion. However, if this message is displayed after flight completion, and the FMC in use is U10.3, the message may be cleared by a long term power interrupt of the FMC.

A "Quick" IRS alignment is characterized by setting both IRS Mode Select Switches from NAV to ALIGN and back to NAV. This starts the IRU quick alignment (or Down Mode alignment) process and may result in the "UNABLE REQD NAV PERF-RNP" message being displayed. This message is temporary and will normally be removed after the first FMC position update. On GPS equipped airplanes, the first update will occur as soon as valid GPS data becomes available which typically occurs while at the gate or shortly after push back. If GPS data is not available, the message will be removed either at TO/GA or shortly after liftoff when valid DME/DME or VOR/DME radio updates become available. If the airplane is not equipped with GPS, the message will not be displayed as part of the quick align procedure.

Status
This condition has been resolved in the U10.4 FMC software, part number 549849-010.

Interim Action
If the "UNABLE REQD NAV PERF-RNP" message is displayed after flight completion, the message can be cleared by performing a long term power interrupt in the FMC (opening FMC circuit breakers for more than 10 seconds) while at the gate. This will set the flight complete logic and clear the "UNABLE REQD NAV PERF-RNP" message.

Final Action
This condition has been corrected in the U10.4 FMC software. The U10.4 FMC software is retrofit by Boeing Service Bulletin 737-34-1630, dated 20 Sep 2001

意思是由于fmc的版本问题么升级的解决了这个问题么？如果有gps gps接受到信号就可以清楚是这个意思么？

目前可用导航设备达不到目前地点RNP导航精度。一般是GPS新号异常，在fmc中去看看GPS位置有没有。可能和天气或者周围建筑物有关，新号较弱。MMR重置一下看看
