谁知道这个电门-----什么时候用？完成的功能？

这是SDS上的说明（没看明白）：
The ALTERNATE VMO/MMO get the signal from the ALTERNATE VMO/MMO SWITCH(Gear Down Dispatch Switch). The ALTERNATE VMO/MMO switch input is provided to the ADIRU. When the switch is pushed up to the ALTERNATE position, the ADIRU adjusts the Vmo/Mmo curve to compensate for a flight with the landing gear down. The ALTERNATE VMO/MMO is located in the E/E bay on the Main Equipment Center Service Panel.

备用VMO/MMO 电门的输出提供给ADIRU，当电门打在 ALTERNATE 位置时，ARIRU调整 VMO/MMO曲线补偿起落架放下时的飞行？
个人理解是起落架放下会有速度的衰减，所以要补偿。

When an a/c must be dispatched with landing gears in the extended position (due to defect of
course), the a/c speed must be limited to avoid damage to the gears, hydraulic plumbings or
electrical wirings fitted on the LDGs. In this case, set the altn VMO/MMO sw to the alternate
position will allow the ADIRU to adjust the a/c speed automatically. The main purpose is to reduce pilots work load so that they don't need to constantly adjust the a/c speed manually throughout the whole flight. I happened to come across with this kind of situation few years ago.

在某些特殊情况下，需要在起落架放下飞行（起落架不能收上）时，将此电门放在备用位置，飞机最大可允许的速度将少于正常时的最大允许速度，否则会产生超速警告。此最大可操作速度在不同的襟翼位置，有不同的速度值。
